Malcolm Wayne Adkins

Thank you for the work on your site. I am married to Mark Adkins, son of M. Wayne Adkins, and have some information on his side of the family.

I offer a correction on Malcolm Wayne Adkins. He was born 1920 (not 1921). He will be 94 years old this week, and is residing in Tulsa, OK. His wife, Maxine Gillock, died 2006.

Wayne became a scientific glass blower and worked in the Chemistry Dept. at Oklahoma State University, Stillwater, Oklahoma. He received a patent on his "Galileo's Thermoscope" which he produced. They register room temperature according to water density. They can be found in many countries throughout the world, largely because students at the University took them to their respective home countries. He was a diligent worker his entire life, and worked after he retired from Oklahoma State.

Malcolm married Maxine D. Gillock. (Maxine D. Gillock was born on 12 Oct 1923 in Oklahoma and died on 18 Jun 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.)
