The 1840 Federal Census for Fayette Co., Tennessee, records Willis (sic) Wiggins as head of household with 1 male (20 - 30) and 1 female (20 - 30). The female is apparently Rebecca as named in Court records ... however, by 1850, Wiley is married to a Mary Ann a bit younger than Rebecca ... see general and research notes on his brother, Willis W. Wiggins.
It appears that by 1850, using age records from the 1840 census above, Rebecca has died, and Wiley has remarried to a Mary A.: The 1850 Federal Census for District 11, Fayette Co., Tennessee, page 262A, dated Sept 14, 1850 records Willis (sic) Wiggins (34 - VA) with his wife Mary Ann Wiggins (25 - NC) and children James W. (7 - TN), Ann E. (5 - TN), Rebecca (3 - TN), Mary V. (1 - TN). Willie is an overseer and has become quite successful as indicated by reporting 7 slaves.
The 1860 Federal Census for District 11, Fayette Co., Tennessee, page 476B, dated July 25, 1860 records Wiley Wiggins (44 - VA) with his wife Mary A. Wiggins (35 - VA) and children Jas W. (16 - TN), A. E. (14 - TN), Rebecca (12 - TN), Virginia (10 - TN), W. M. (8 - TN), Wiley (6 - TN), Frank B. (4 - TN), and Eudora (2 - TN). Wiley is a farmer and has become quite successful as indicated by real estate valued at $6,500 and a personal estate valued at $17, 940 including 13 slaves.

This released their inherited ownership in properties that belonged to Wiley's father, Willis Wiggins (the elder). Wiley recieved $150 from his brother Willis. It is noted that their brother William Wiggins had died.
The 1870 Federal Census for District 11, Fayette Co., Tennessee, Macon P. O., page 388B, dated Aug 22, 1870 records Wily Wiggins [indexed as Wiggans] (54 - VA) with his wife M. A. Wiggins (45 - TN) and children Va. (18 - TN), Willis (16 - TN), Wily (14 - TN), Frank (12 - TN), Sallie (10 - TN), Rebecca (8 - TN), Lacey [Lucy] (6 - TN), and Lawrence [Thomas Lawrence] (2 - TN). Wily is a farmer.
The 1880 Federal Census for District 11, Fayette Co., Tennessee, District 27, page 410A, dated July 1, 1880 records Wiley W. Wiggins (62 - VA/VA/VA) with his wife Mary A. Wiggins (52 - VA/VA/VA) and children Mary V. (23 - TN), Frank P. (22 - TN), Sallie R. (20), Lucy I. (18), and Thomas (12 - TN). Also in the household is an adopted daughter, Lavacca Warr (4 - TN).
The 1900 Federal Census for Civil District 11, Fayette Co., Tennessee, District 19, page 231A, dated June 26, 1900 records the widow Mary I. Wiggins (Aug 1825 - NC/NC/NC) with her son Frank P. Wiggins (May 1856 - TN/VA/NC), daughter Lucy F. Wiggins (July 1863 - TN/VA/NC), and grandson Lavacus W. Warr (May 1876 - TN/NC/TN). Mary has had 10 children of whom 9 are still living.
Wiley married Rebecca. (Rebecca was born circa 1816 in Nansemond Co., VA and died circa 1845 in Fayette Co., Tennessee.)
