Benjamin DAUGHTRY of Sampson Co. NC (c.1740-bef.1810) was indeed the son of John and Elizabeth (Williams) DAUGHTRY of IOW and the grandson of William and Priscilla. The current consensus among Daughtry researchers is that Benjamin was the father of Abraham (b.1755-1762) by a first wife who remains unidentified. If this is true, Benjamin would appear to have four or five additional sons by this wife, but their identities are similarly unknown at this time.
