The 1910 Federal Census for Wiconisco, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, District 132, page 20A, dated April 26, 1910 records Harold S. Bateman (6 - PA/Wales/PA) living with his parents Samuel G. (42 - Wales/Wales/Wales) and Elizabeth M. (39 - PA/PA/PA) Bateman and siblings William J. (19 - PA), Arthur G. (18 - PA), Tyrus J. (16 - PA), Ellen N. (12 - PA), Hayden H. (10 - PA), Edward L. (8 - PA), and Lewis L. (3 - PA) on South Street. Samuel immigrated in 1886 and is employed as a Miner in a Coal Mine. Samuel and Elizabeth have been married for 20 yeasr and have had 9 children of whom 8 are still living. William, Arthur, and Tyrus are all employed by the Coal Company.
Harold married Madeline Susan Dice, daughter of John Harvey Dice and Annie E. Bender, circa 1925 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania. (Madeline Susan Dice was born circa 1905 and died after 1940 in Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., Pennsylvania.)
The 1926 Harrisburg City Directory records Harold and Madeline living with Madelines mother, Annie Bender, at 526 Dunkle Street. Harvey C. Owiler is a roomer at that house.
