(42 - Wales/Wales/Wales) and Elizabeth M. (39 - PA/PA/PA) Bateman and siblings William J. (19 - PA), Arthur G. (18 - PA), Tyrus J. (16 - PA), Ellen N. (12 - PA), Hayden H. (10 - PA), Edward L. (8 - PA), and Lewis L. (3 - PA) on South Street. Samuel immigrated in 1886 and is employed as a Miner in a Coal Mine. Samuel and Elizabeth have been married for 20 yeasr and have had 9 children of whom 8 are still living. William, Arthur, and Tyrus are all employed by the Coal Company.

The 1920 Federal Census for Harrisburg Ward 13, Dauphin, Pennsylvania, District 108, page 239A, dated January 7, 1920 records Harold S. Bateman (16 - PA/Wales/PA) living at the home of his cousin, James F. Snyder (60 - PA/PA/PA) and his wife Martha A. Snyder (50 - PA/PA/PA) and children Charles B. Snyder (31), James C. Snyder (29), and John C. Snyder (23) at 925 Dunkles Street. Harold is a Helper at a Shoe Fatory.
