Helen E. Davis, 98, of 118 Gordon St., Piqua, died on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 4:00 pm in her residence. She was born in Piqua on June 3, 1907 to the late Lee and Blanche Sullenberger Cramer. She married Oliver Davis on July 24, 1929; he preceded her in death on November 5, 1976.

Survivors include a daughter, Linda Stout of Piqua; a son, Donald L. Davis of Schaumburg, Illinois; four grandchildren, Chris Stout, Mike Stout, Ronda (Mark) Shellenberger, Diane (Ted) Nyberg; seven great grandchildren, Ryan Stout, Matt Stout, Searia Stout, Jamie Shellenberger, Paul Nyberg, Dean Nyberg, Ted Nyberg; and two sisters, Nancy Beckman of Sidney, and Wanita McSwain of Everett, Washington. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, two brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Davis attended Piqua City schools and was a homemaker. She had worked at the former Nel's Jeffery Grocery store, Greenameyer Drug store, Kresgees, and Murphy's department stores. She was the oldest member of Grace United Methodist Church, a member of the Ruth & Naomi Circle, and the United Methodist Women.

A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 16, 2006 at 1:30 pm in the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home with Rev. James F. Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 12:30-1:30 pm in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, Inc., P. O. Box 502, Troy, OH 45373.

Helen married Oliver Forest Davis on 24 Jul 1929. (Oliver Forest Davis was born on 26 Feb 1905 in Sidney, Ohio and died on 5 Nov 1976.)
