Dorothy L. Stauffer, 86, of Ephrata, PA, formerly of Lititz, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2015 at Ephrata Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Allison, PA, she was the daughter of the late Milford Johnson and Mary A. Thompson Johnson. She was married to the late Larry R. Stauffer, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage.
Dorothy was a member of the Lititz United Methodist Church, and enjoyed traveling, going to the beach, crocheting, cooking, holiday entertaining, and her beloved Philadelphia Phillies. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She was employed for 28 years by RCA Corporation and retired in 1988. After retirement, Dorothy and Larry spent much of their time in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
She is survived by her two children, Debra S. Fillo, Lititz, PA, and Larry R. Stauffer, Jr., Brigantine, New Jersey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Dana, Tamra, Cindy, Eric, Steven, Jeffrey, Laura, Philip, and Jessica, along with 17 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was the last of her immediate family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services for Dorothy at the Spacht Snyder Funeral Home, 127 S. Broad Street, Lititz, PA 17543 on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Gerard McGrath officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent in Dorothy's name to the Landis Homes Adult Day Care Program, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
