Grover Joseph Hill
Birth: Oct. 4, 1906
Death: Dec. 6, 1979
Grover was a life long resident of Vanceboro. He was an electrician, working for a while with the Town of Vanceboro before joining the electrical union and having various assignment in other states. He and his wife Ruth Mae [Laughinghouse] raised their children, Dorothy, Jean, Delano, Ruth, Sue and Anne and resided on Buck Lane. He loved gardening and some carpentry work as he did various chores around his home. He enjoyed the holidays, especially Christmas time when all the family gathered at his home and shared presents. In his later years, he was able to spend more time with his family and he was happy doing just that.
