He is currently living at 5401 Montrose Avenue in Altona, Blair Co., PA. The person that always knows his address in Mrs. Walter Norris of the same address. Frank indicates he is unemployed. His physical description is 5' 5" and 155 lbs with brown eyes and gray hair and light complexion. Note: The Mrs. Walter Norris could be his married daughter, Florence Singiser, using the following ... The 1930 Federal Census for Altoona, Blair Co., PA, District 40, page 241B records Walter S. Morris (22) living with his parents William (45) and Lena (46) Morris and siblings Edna M. (20) and William H. (8) living on 5110 4th Avenue. This is only a few blocks from where Florence Singiser is living in Altoona ... see notes on Florence's mother, Annie Keil. The SSDI records: Walter S. Norris SSN: 171-07-3351 Born: 1 Dec 1907 Died: 1 Feb 1992 State (Year) SSN issued: Pennsylvania (Before 1951) and Florence E. By examining the 1900 Federal Census it appears that Frank's parents are Edward W. and Lizzie Singiser: Monroe Township, Cumberland Co., PA, District 19, page 47B, dated June 14, 1900 records Edward W. (Oct 1865) and Lizzie (Mar 1866) Singiser with children Frank (Sept 1880 / son), Merry (sic) (August 1896 / son), Charles (Dec 1876 / son), and Bertha (June 1882 / daughter). Edward is a farmer and has been married to Lizzie for 13 years. They have 5 children of whom 3 are still living. Obviouisly the numbers (birth years) do not add up! Frank, Merry [Murray] , Charles, and Bertha ... ??? ... date of birth for Frank recorded in WWI Draft Card vs 1900 census ???
The 1880 Federal Census for Monroe Township, Cumberland Co., PA, District 70 records Edward Singisher (23 / son) in the home of his parents John (57) and Clementine (55) Singiser. Also in the household are Lorena (13 / daughter), Joseph (9 / son), Lizzie (23 / daughter-in-law), and Charlie (2 / grand son). This offers more reasonable dates for this Singiser family.
I will give 1870 Census research results due to the transcription errors in the records: The 1870 Federal Census for Monroe Township, Cumberland Co., PA records John (49) and Clementine (45) Singizer (sic - indexed as Sinizer at ancestry.com) with children Maggie (20), Mary (17), Edward (13), John (12), Harry (10), Anna (5), and Joseph (1).
