(22 - NC), John C. (16 - NC), Sarah E. (13 - NC), James H. (11 - NC), Almedia P. (9 - NC), Catherine W. (7 - NC), and Minna (3 - NC). Barnes is a farmer and has real estate valued at $4,000. Nearby are several Benton families, probably Harriet's brothers, and a David Parker and family ... David Parker was a bondsman at Barnes' marriage. Barnes Goodman has 26 slaves registered in the 1850 slave schedule for Gates County.
