The 1910 Federal Census for the City of Suffolk, VA, District 15, page 218B, dated April 19, 1910 records W. R. Daughtrey (23 - VA/VA/VA) with his wife Eva Maude Daughtrey (24 - VA/VA/VA) and W. R. 's brother H. L. Daughtrey (19). W. R. and Maude have been married for 2 years and have had no children. Also in the household is W. R. 's mother, S. Eva Cofield (40) and her husband H. S. Cofield (48).

The 1920 Federal Census for the City of Suffolk, VA, District 219, page 222A, dated January 9, 1920 records W. R. Daughtrey (33 - VA/VA/VA) with his wife Maude Daughtrey (35 - VA/VA/VA) and son Willie E. Daughtrey (8) living on Main Street. Also in the household are W. R.'s brother, Howard L. Daughtrey (30 - VA/VA/VA), and W. R.'s mother, Eva Cofield (49 - VA/VA/VA). W. R. and Howard are Proprietors for a Livery Stable.
