Emily Christine Daughtrey records Betsy Rawls as a daughter of Andrew and Abigail and indicates that she never married. The 1880 Federal Census records Bettie Rawls, sister of Henry A. Rawls in the household of Henry with his son Julius, age 21. These are the only people in that household. See general notes on her brother, Henry Andrew Rawls, for 1900 census facts. It should be noted that the 1870 Federal Census records Henry A. Rawls with wife Edith and son Julius, age 11.

The 1860 census lists an Elizabeth Rawls (36 - born 1824), boarder, living with her brother, Andrew Rawls (33 - born 1827), next door to another brother, Randolph Rawls.

The 1850 census lists an Elizabeth Rawls (23 - born 1827) and Andrew J. Rawls (22 - born 1828) living in the household of their father, Andrew Rawls (73 - born 1777) next door to his Andrew's son, Henry.

Bettie and Elizabeth are most likely the same person ... Bettie / Elizabeth Rawls daughter of Andrew, sister to Henry.

Allie Beale Daughtrey Bowler writes in ca 1970 that Elizabeth Rawls was born July 17, 1820 ... a date that does not seem to be consistent with census records.
