Story excerpt: NORFOLK - Charles Francis Hagen, 85, of the 1300 block of Elm View Ave., died June 29, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital. Mr. Hagen was born in Richmond and was the widower of Nettie O'Dell Hagen. He was a credit manager and also worked as an investigator for an attorney. He was a member and deacon of Talbot Park Baptist Church, and past president of the Fellowship Bible Class. He was a 10-year seasonal fan of the Norfolk Tides. Survivors include two daughters, Judith P. Adams of Chesapeake and Anne S. Zeck of Cleveland, Ohio; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and beloved friend, Erma ``Pete'' Braver of Portsmouth.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, by Dr. Harry T. Dixon. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, where Masonic rites will be accorded. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Youth Activity Group of Talbot Park Baptist Church.
