A copy of a page from the Hagen Family Bible in the possession of John Wesley Hagen (of Parkesburg, Chester Co., PA April 2008) records the birth of David Hagen as August 1, 1814. The same record documents a Davis Hagen born November 9, 1809 which is the date (within 2 days) on the headstone for Davis Hagen and one can only conclude that David and Davis were 2 different sons ... David apparently died in infancy.
