In Loving Memory Of: Ernestine E. Bates, 89, entered into rest on Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at the Denver Nursing Home.
Born in Lancaster on November 22, 1917, age 89 years, 10 months and 25 days, she was a daughter of the late Charles A. and Edna (Hagen) Bates.
A member of Swamp Christian Fellowship, Reinholds, Ernestine enjoyed word searches and needlework.
Surviving is a brother, George R., husband of Pauline M. (Shimp) Bates, Ephrata. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Groff, and brothers, Harry, Simon and Charles A. Bates Jr.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2007 at 2:00 PM with a viewing from 1-2 PM in the Roseboro Funeral Home, 533 Walnut Street, Denver with the Reverend M. Craig Snow officiating. Interment will take place in Swamp Cemetery, Reinholds.
