Ulrich Shirk IV, son of Ulrich and Maria Shirk, born of the old Ulrich Skirh farm near Schoeneck, Lancaster Co., PA, 1792, and died 1858, aged 66 years. He was a born mute, never married, had his home provided, (by the will of his father), with his youngest brother, Peter Shirk, who became the owner of the original Shirk homestead by inheritance from his father, Ulrich Shirk III.
