Robert has completed 4 years of high school and is employed as a Machine Hand at the Textile Machine Works earning $1,122 working 51 weeks during the last year. Gunsmith Dies at 52
Robert F. Wright Succumbs In Reading Hospital
Robert F. Wright, 52, of 2545 Grant St., Mount Penn, who operated a gunsmith's shop at his home, died yesterday in a Reading Hopital, where he had been a patient since June 15.
In addition to being a self employed gunsmith, he was employed as a tool and die maker for the Textile Machine Works for over 30 years.
Born in Reading, a son of the late Edward and Catherine (Hagan) Wright, he was a life member of the National Rifle Association of America and a past president of the Universal Rifle Club of Exeter Township.
Other Affiliations
He was also affiliated with the Oike Township, Lebanon Valley and Northern Chester County sportsman's clubs and the Pioneer Hose of Robesonia, Berkshire Heights, Mount Penn, Friendship and Reading Hose fire companies.
Other affiliations were Reading Lodge 9, Fraternal Order of Police; Reading Police Revolver Club; Reading Police Home Association; Fireman's Relief Association; Nest 2, Fraternal Order of Orioles; and the Textile Employed Benifit Association.
He is survived by his widow, Janice (Davis) Wright.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Dougherty Funeral Home, the Rev. Dr. Frank E. Reynolds officiating. Burial will be made in Forest Hills Memorial Park.
