From a Dec 12, 2006 email from Paul's brother, Fred: Paul died one month before I was born, he was six years old. He and friends were on a picnic with the families in Fairmount Park, near Boathouse Row, the kids were playing near the river [Schuylkill River] when Paul fell in. No one could get to him in time and he drowned.
