The 1900 Federal Census (New York, Sullivan Co., Cochecton, ED 83 sheet 2B) records Peter Abplanalp born in Switzerland in 1838 and Sarah A. born in 1838 in England and married 37 years. These are possible relatives of Elizabeth, whose mother has a brother, Andreas (Andrew) Rohrbach, living in Sullivan Co., N.Y.
The 1880 Federal Census, New York, Sullivan Co., Cochecton, ED 89, records Peter and Sarah Applanalph on page 17 and Edward Scott on page 28. Peter is listed as a blacksmith in both census. The 1870 census records this same family in the same location.
Elizabeth married Thomas Francis Scott, son of Edward Scott and Catherine Kadian, about 1909. (Thomas Francis Scott was born on 4 Feb 1878 in Cochecton, Sullivan Co., N. Y. and died on 1 Oct 1953.)
