Nannie is Callie Coleman's sister and confirms the family story of her being raised by Fannie Hagood Coleman's brother, Taylor. No record of Nannie's brother, Jeff, has been found in the 1880 census.

The 1900 Federal Census for Ruffin, Rockingham Co., N.C. District 83 records William T. (Oct 1846) and Nancy C. (Mar 1856) Haygood with children Frank T. (Jan 1888) and Annie E. (May 1890).

The 1910 Federal Census for Ruffin, Rockingham Co., N.C. District 168 records W. Taylor (63) and Nannie C. (54) Haygood with son J. Moreau (32). They have been married 36 years with 4 of 5 children still living.
