bullet  General Notes:

The 1910 Federal Census for Philadelphia (ED#1112, page 238A) taken May 12, 1910 records new born Thomas J. Myers (10/12), living with his mother, Ida B. (Garren Hagen) Myers (40) at 876 North 45th Street. Sarah G. Hagen (16), step sister, is living in the household that does not include a husband.

It appears that by 1920, Ida placed her son, Thomas Myers, in the Lutheran Orphan's Home on 7000 Germantown Avenue: The 1920 Federal Census for Philadelphia Ward 22, Lutheran Orpahns Home (also aged and infirm), Pennsylvania, District 619, page 151A, dated January 17, 1920 records Thomas Myers (11 - PA/Unkown/Unkown) as an inmate.

The 1930 Federal Census for Philadelphia, PA (ED#934, page 208A, sheet 19A) records Thomas J. Hagan (sic) (20 - PA/ Don't Know US / Don't Know PA ) living with his widowed mother, Ida B. Myers (59 - PA/PA/PA), at 2535 Gaul Street; however, the census lists his last name incorrectly. This is probably due to the fact that Ida had been previously married to William G. Hagen. Ida has no employment while Thomas is a stamper at a Baseball Mfg.
