James M. Baker
- Born: Abt 1853, Lancaster City PA.
- Died: After 1880, Lancaster City, Lancaster Co., PA.
General Notes:
The 1900 census has a James M. Baker married ca 1881 (consistent with the 1880 census of him being single in 1880) living in Berlin Township, Adams Co., PA; however, more research is needed: The 1900 Federal Census for East Berlin Borough, Adams Co., PA, District 10, page 115B, dated June 2, 1900 records James M. (Nov 1854) and Anna M. (July 1859) Baker with daughters Sallie J. (Nov 1883), Meda E. (Jan 1885), Lura E. (Feb 1889) James and Anna have been married for 19 and have had 5 children of whom 4 are still living. James is employed at what looks to be a "Felloe Packer" while Sallie and Medu are cigar makers. Note: Felloe: a segment or the whole rim of a wooden wheel to which the spokes are attached and onto which a metal tyre is usually shrunk.
