The 1860 Federal Census for Louisiana, Morehouse Co., Bastrop Post Office (page 332) records T. I. (37-NC) McKay with wife A. E. (32-Louisiana) and children R. J. (9-Mississippi), Mattie M. (8-Mississippi), Emma J. (5-Louisiana), Mary J. (11/12-Louisiana). Also in the household is Dettie J. Dudgeon (18-Ireland). Note the 1870 census where Detie McCay is the youngest child.
The 1870 Federal Census for Louisiana, Richland Parish, Ward 3, Girard Post Office (page 263B) records Richard McCay (20-Mississippi) as head of household with others: Emmer (14-Louisiana), Julia (12-Louisiana), Detie (7-Louisiana) McCay.

Johnson was born on 13 Jul 1856 in Louisiana, died on 4 Aug 1940 in Girard, Louisiana and was buried in New Salem Cemetery, Girard, Richland Parish, Louisiana.)
