The 1900 Federal Census for the 3rd Ward of Richland Parish, Louisiana (ED99, page 170A, dated June 9, 1900) record siblings Richard and Zilpha McKay living next to William and Teretha (sic) [Theresa] Doughtie (step father and mother). William is a farmer and Richard is a farm manager. William and Teresa have been married for 15 years and Teresa reports having had 4 children all of whom are still living. Notes The 4 children do no include the 3 she had with Richard McKay.

The birth and death dates are taken from the headstone photograph sent in an email attachment from Doughtie descendent Luke Letlow on Nov 16, 2010.
