The 1930 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Dist 5, page 68B records Boss E. (30) and Lujinnie (indexed as Lummie at ancestry.com) (36) Adkins with children Essie (26 - female), Raymond E. (16), Renford L. (12), Edith P. (10), Claris C. (6), and Linwood C. (4 11/12). Also in the household is a grand daughter, Louise O. Adkins (3 2/12). None of Boss' children are listed as married so this researcher does not know who is the father/mother of Louise. Boss and Lou have been married for 28 years. Nearby is his brother, William Henry Adkins, and his family.
