(20), Harvey J. (16), Claude B. (12), and Essie M. (10) living next door to his brother, Ralph Adkins, and his family. Henry and Lelia have been married for 5 years.

The 1920 Federal Census for Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA, Dist 140, page 78B records Henry T. (57) and Maude (53) Adkins with children Costra (29), Callie (33), Mary (31), Essie (21), Claude (24), Irene (13), and Lucielle (8).

Funeral Services For Henry Adkins
Chatham, VA, Feb 3 - Funeral services for Henry Gilmer Adkins were conducted at the home near Callands this afternoon at 2 o'clock by the Rev J. H. Okes. Interment was in the family burial ground.
Mr. Adkins died suddendly at his home Saturday night. He had spent his entire life in the Callands section.
Surviving are the following children: C. G. Adkins, H. J. Adkins, C. B. Adkins, Misses Callie and Mary Adkins and Mrs. Clifton Adkins, all of Chatham, Mrs. Luther Reynolods, Prospect Hill, N.C., and Mrs. Oscar Amos, of Dry Fork.

Henry next married Lelier Maude Hayden circa 1905 in Pittsylvania Co, VA. (Lelier Maude Hayden was born on 30 Dec 1866 and died on 29 Jun 1925.)
