Also in the household is a boarder, August Eckerman (Feb 1879) and widowed father-in-law John Urban (Jan 1833 - Germany/Germany/Germany). George and Josephine have been married for 24 years and have had 11 children of whom 5 are still living. George is a Messenger for the Post Office.

George and Josephine have been married for 34 years and have had 11 children of whom 3 are still living. George is a Laborer for the City.

The WWI Draft Registration for John Henry Haas records on June 5, 1917 his date of birth as February 7, 1891 in New Orleans, Louisana. He is employed as a Foreman at the New Orleans Department of Public Works. He is living at 3201 Tchoupitoulas [Street] in New Orleans. He indicates that he is responsible for the support of his mother, wife, and sister. He reports that he is short with medium build and grey eyes abnd dark brown hair.

Haas - John H. Haas Sr., on Sunday, December 8. 1974. Beloved husband of the late Amelia Schmitt. Father of John H. Haas, Jr., Henry J. Haas, George W. Haas, Mrs. R. A. Hagen of Reading, Penn. and Mrs. Joseph P. Scavo Jr. brother of Mrs. Frank Twohig and the late Mrs. August Eckelmann. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren . Age 83 years. A native and resident of the city. Funeral services were held from the Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Magazine at Phillip on Monday afternoon, December 9, 1974 at 3:00 o'clock. Interment in Metairie Cemetery.
