Also in the household is a Paul R. Reid (8 - District of Columbia/PA/PA), indicated as a son, as well as 2 servants, Carl (31 - Finland) and Lydia (34 - Finland) Morrgram. James is a Lawyer and reports being 1st married at age 25 while Elizabeth indicates 20 as her age at 1st marriage. Holland and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Gaylord B. Noyce, pastor of the Raleigh Congregational Christian Church and Rev. Tucker Humphries, pastor of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church, officiating. Mr. Vaughan, 69, prominent attorney of New York and Greenwich, Conn., died early Monday morning in the Greenwich Hospital after an illness of several weeks. He was the husband of the late Mrs. Elizabeth Boyd Vaughan of Greenwich and the son of the late James Buchanan and Mrs. Ida Rawls Vaughan of Franklin. He was a member of the Second Congregational Church of Greenwich and was a veteran of World War I. Surviving him are one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Vaughan Thomas of Alexander, and one brother, Lillian L. Vaughan of Raleigh, N.C. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Fred Vann, Davis Spiers, Robert A. Vaughan, W.T. Pace, Jr., Vaughan Beale, Dr. Darden W. Jones, R. Ellsworth Jones, and Herbert G. Cobb.
