The 1910 Federal Census for Little Creek, Franklin Co., VA, District 39, page 141A, dated April 29, 1910 records T. L. Montgomery (33) with his wife Sallie (33) and children Quincy (8), Jennie (6), Jesse (4), and Elsie (1 10/12). They are living next door to Tom's parents.

The WWI Draft Registation Card for Thomas Franklin Montgomery dated Sept 12, 1918 records his date of birth as June 16, 1876. He is married to Sallie A. Montgomery and lives in Wertz, VA. He has blue eyes and black hair.

The 1920 Federal Census records the T. F. Montgomery family living in the Little Creek District of Franklin Co., VA (near Boones Mill). C. W. Montgomery (60) and wife Elizabeth (64) as well as Lee Montgomery (51) and wife Lelia (50) and family are living within a few doors of T. F. and family.
