(Jan 1880 - PA), Alice S. (August 1881 - PA), Joseph (March 1883 - PA), and Ellen N. (Feb 1886 - PA) at 1011 Franklin Street. John and Catherine have been married for 30 years and have had 10 children all of whom are still living. John is a telegraph operator while Charles is a Hat Finisher, Harry is a Bicycle Assembler, Frank is a Confectioner, Vincent is a Jeweler, Alice is a Saleslady, Joseph is a Salesman, and Phillip is a Clerk.

The 1910 Federal Census, Pennsylvania, Berks Co., 8-wd Reading, District 69, page 37A records Phillip (24) and Catherine (24) Ryan 122 North 9th Street. Next door (or same house) is J. Warren McLean (24) and his wife Ellen M. [Ryan] (24) McLean, sister of Phillip Ryan. Also in that household is Phillip's brother, the widower Harry Ryan (36).

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Philip Aloysius Ryan taken April 27, 1942 records his date of birth as December 29, 1884 in Reading, PA. He is living with his wife, Mrs. Catherine G. Ryan at 21 North 11th Street in Reading. His physical description is 5' 10 1/2" with blue eyes, gray hair, and a ruddy complexion.
