William Lee, his parents and family are recorded in Hertford Co., N.C. in both the 1860 and 1870 Federal Census.

The 1900 Federal Census for Reynoldson Township, Gates Co., N.C. , District 47 records William O. P. Lee (Aug 1850) and wife Florence (April 1871) with children Harry P. (Mar 1887) and Mary H. (Dec 1893). They have been married 14 years and have had 2 children.

The 1910 Federal Census for Reynoldson Township, Gates Co., N.C. , District 40 records Dr. W. O. P. Lee (59) and wife Florence T. (39) with children Helen M. (16) and Phylis (6). They have been married 23 years and have had 4 children of which 3 are still living.

By 1920 Florence is a widow and has moved a bit south with her daughter Phyllis to Mitchell's Township, Aulander Town, Bertie Co., N.C. They are listed in the 1920 Federal Census for Bertie Co. , N.C. District 5 . This is the last record found on Florence and she perhaps dies in the 1920s. By 1930, Phyllis is living with her unmarried siblings in Norfolk, Va. (see notes on Florence)

The cause of her death was Cerebral Hemorrhage.
