HENRY TROST, 78, WORKED AS A CHEMIST
Henry Biggs Trost, 78, of Wilmington, Del, died Monday at Christiana Medical Center, Wilmington, as a result of a recent stroke.
Trost worked as a chemist for Hercules, Inc., retiring in 1982 after 40 years.
He was a 1942 graduate of Franklin and Marshall College.
In addition to his membership in the American Chemical Society, Biggs was active in community affairs and served on the Oak Grove school board in the 1960s.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, serving on the finance and building fund committees, and as trearsurer in the 1970s.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Clarence A. and Frances Biggs Trost.
He was married to Anna Wirth Trost for 55 years.
Surving in addition to his wife are two sons, John of Hockensin, Del., and James, husband of Wanda Trost of Leesburg, Va., a daughter, Janet, wife of Richard Townley of Baltimore, two granddaughters and a brother, the Rev. James B. Trost of State College.
