WILLIAM JOSEPH HOLLAND - WM. J. HOLLAND KILLED BY REVOLVING SHAFT AT CAMP'S THIS MORNING
William J. Holland was instantly killed at Camp's early this (Friday)
morning. He was one of the night foreman in the sawmill and was attempting to repair a chain on a revolving shaft when in some way he became entangled in the shafting and was dead before he could be released. Mr. Holland was 24 years of age and had been employed by the Camp Manufacturing Company for several years, being highly esteemed as an employee.
He was a native of the South Quay Baptist Church, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Holland recently moving to this town. He was unmarried and besides his parents is survived by one sister, and other relatives of the town and community.
Funeral services will be held from the Franklin Baptist Church tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. R.D. Stephenson, pastor of the church, and internment will be made in Poplar Spring Cemetery here.
