He is living in Rutherford Heights, Dauphin Co., PA with his wife, Carrie Estella Kramer. He works as a Railroadman for the P. R. Railway Co. His physical description is tall in height and medium build with blue eyes and black hair.

The 1940 Federal Census for Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, District 20-31, page 497A, dated APril 18, 1940 records Herman R. (54) and Carrie (47) Kramer with daughter Katie (28) renting a home at 214 East Locust Street for $14 / month. Herman has completed 7 years of schooling and is employed as a Car Repairman for the Steam Rail Way Company earning $400 working 40 weeks during the last year. Carrie has completed 5 years of schooling and is not employed while Katie has completed 2 years of high school and is at Missionary School.

The WWII Draft Registration Card (for men born on or after April 28, 1877 and on or before February 16, 1897) for Herman R. Kramer dated April 27, 1942 lists his date of birth as Sept. 9, 1885 in Auburn, PA. He is living at 214 East Locust Street in Mechanicsburg, PA and the person to contact in case of emergency is Mrs. William D. Herman married Carrie Estelle Reichert, daughter of George J. Reichert and Kate E. Lengel, circa 1908 in Pennsylvania. (Carrie Estelle Reichert was born on 4 May 1892 in Auburn Borough, Schuylkill Co., Pennsylvania, died on 7 Apr 1958 in Mechanicsburg, Cumberland Co., PA. and was buried on 11 Apr 1958 in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill, Cumberland Co., PA.) The cause of her death was Coronary Occlusion.
