Sabra Ellis Roberts Aston, 88, of Kingsale Road, died Jan. 4, 1994, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.
Mrs. Aston was born in Nansemond County, Va., daughter of the late Willie Hunter Ellis and Walter Ellis. She was a member of Holland Baptist Church, Suffolk, and was the widow of George W. Aston.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley R. Schultz of Suffolk; one son, Gene S. Roberts of Maui, Hawaii; three grandchildren, Sharon S. Oast of Chesapeake, Judy A. Roberts of Silver City, N.M., and Gene S. Roberts Jr. of Livingston, Calif. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Raleigh S. Roberts.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Grady Jarrard and the Rev. W. Thomas Wood. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holland Baptist Church Restoration Fund, 6519 Holland Road, Suffolk, VA 23437, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
