The 1880 Federal Census for Carlisle, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, District 77, page 245B records Reuban Seiler (42 - PA) with his wife Kate [Goudy] Seiler (37) living at 106 North Pitt Street. Reuban is a farmer laborer who reports being disabled.

The 1900 Federal Census for Carlisle, Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania, Ward 4, District 5, page 101A records Ruben Seiler (Oct 1838 - PA) with his wife Catherine [Goudy] Seiler (April 1843) boarding at the home of Carie Fink at 143 A Street (corner of North Pitt and West Penn Streets). Ruben and Catherine report being married for 35 years and have had no children. Ruben is listed as the Land Lord.
