Anna's maiden name is from the death certificate of her daughter, Catherine C. Goudy Seiler ... see medical notes on Catherine Goudy.

In 1870, Anna M. Goudy is living with John and Elvira Shatto next door to her daughter, Nancy J. [Goudy] Brown and her family in Carroll Township, Perry Co., Pennsylvania. (see notes below on the 1850 census for Anna's relation to Elvira) The 1870 Federal Census for Carroll Township, Perry Co., Pennsylvania, New Bloomfield P. O., page 28A/B records Anna Goudy (67) living with John Shatto (24 - Stone Mason) with his wife Elvira Shatto (23) and son Peter Shatto (3). Next door is William G. Brown (50) with his wife Mary J. [Goudy] (50) and children John R. (16), Catherine (12), Jacob (10), Anna M. (8), Elberta (4), Reuban (3), and Samuel J. (1).

The 1850 Federal Census of Eastpennsborough in Cumberland County, Pa. (page 390B) records Elvera Doudy (age 3 - indexed as Dundy) living in the household of Daniel (56) and Catherine (45) Neathanman. One page over is Samuel and Anna Goudy... Elvera must be a relation, perhaps grand daughter ... but I do not know. Anna married Samuel Goudy. (Samuel Goudy was born about 1795 in Pennsylvania and died about 1855 in Eastpennsborough, Cumberland County, PA.)
