Good Evening,
First I must say "Thank you" for putting together such a wonderful site, and doing all the research that we have always wanted to do, but never had the time. My name is Edward Souders III and I am the Great Great Grandson of James A. Souders, born in 1857 in PA. My father told me a few things that were a little off on the page, so I thaught I would take a minute to give an update.
James A. Souders married Mary Maurer ( She is the Daughter of Frankin Maurer b. 1827 d. 1863)
There were twins, Leonard, and Edward "Ned" (my Grandfather) born on July 17, 1911, not 1912
That's all I know for right now, I am sure that my dad, (Edward James Souders Jr.) will fill me in with the rest. The messed up part of this family is that out of all these males, it all boiled down to my father to carry on the Souders name, then on to me, and now on to my 2 boys, James Thomas "JT" and Michael Jacob. I guess some family traditions and names can't be avoided! Also, I attached a photo of the Souders/Maurer headstone in Charles Evans Cemetery in Reading, Pa.
