The obituary for Rebecca state her name as Rebecca Gester and census record research below indicates she remarried after the death of her first husband, Timothy Hill.
The 1870 Federal Census for Township of the Islands, Accomack Co., VA, page 58B, dated Augsut 4, 1870 records John Jester (63 - VA) with his wife Rebecca (63 - VA) and children Redeemi Ann (17) and Rebecca (1). Next door is John S. Jester (23) with his wife Sarah (24) and their daughter, Amy (1). Both Johns are Oystermen.
The 1860 Federal Census for Accomack Co., Va. (page 136) records Jno Jester (51) and his wife Ann (45) and children Emiline (24), John (14), and Redemia (9).
Rebecca married Captain Timothy Hill Sr. (Captain Timothy Hill Sr. was born circa 1790 in New York and died circa 1855 in Accomack Co., Va..)
