On March 4, 1894, Sallie T. Penn (Mrs. James G.) organized the Dorothea Henry Chapter, NSDAR. Those joining with Mrs. Penn as Charter Members in this fledgling chapter were (as their names appear on the Charter): Annie Boisseau Beadles, Rena Walker Boatwright, Mary Eleanor B.
