THURSTON, Harry L. Jr., died March 26, 2012. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Sylvia Thurston; three daughters, Sheryl Didlake, Gail Dickerson and husband, Tim, Jane Rea and husband, Robert; 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; also his stepchildren, Janet Sydnor, Woodrow W. Carter Jr. and Floyd Lewis. Mr. Thurston was a devoted husband and father and was retired from Philip Morris from 31 years of service. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Bliley's-Staples Mill, 8510 Staples Mill Rd., where services will be held Friday at 12 noon. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Harry married Barbara Jean Lane, daughter of Benjamin R. Lane and Ida Mae. (Barbara Jean Lane was born on 4 Jan 1938 and died on 6 May 2012 in Chesterfield Co., VA.)
