daughter of Charles Culpepper O'Neal and Eliza Ann Arline O'Neal
Della O'Neal married Louis Thompson of Augusta and Della of Swainsboro on Sept 14, 1884 at Wrightsville, GA by Rev Matthews at the house of Mr. and Mrs. John Arline (Della's maternal grandparents). Louis and Della had five children. Louis died in 1890, two weeks after the birth of the last daughter, Louis Mary Thompson. She moved the family from Modoc to Swainsboro and worked as a seamstress to support her family.

Louis is buried in Magnolia Cemetery in Augusta, Ga beside his first wife and one of his sons by that marriage.
Della married Louis Thompson on 14 Sep 1884. (Louis Thompson was born on 15 Feb 1846 in Orangeburg, Orangeburg Co., SC and died on 13 Oct 1890 in Modoc, Emanuel Co., Georgia.)
