[Interesting that Nellie's parents are listed as from PA; howver, their birth places are listed as Ill for their names] Mary reports being married 7 years and having had 1 child. E. E. is working as a Blacksmith.

The 1910 Federal Census for Bonus Township, Boone Co., Illinois, District 7, page 97A, dated April 25, 1910 records Mary L. Stoner (46 - PA/Maryland/PA) living with her daughter Nellie Stoner (10 - Ill/PA/Ill). Mary reports being in her 3rd marriage and having had 2 children of whom 1 is still living. No husband is listed here although she states being married for 17 years.

The 1920 Federal Census for Bonus Township, Boone Co., Illinois, District 9, page 104B, dated January 21, 1920 records a Widowed Mary L. Stoner (54 / PA/PA/PA) with her daughter Nellie C. Stoner (20 - Ill/Ill/PA) living on Garden Pairie. Mary is working as a Cook at a Boarding House while Nellie is not working. The 1920 Federal Census for Belvidere Township, Boone Co., Illinois, District 3, page 97A, dated January 15, 1920 records a divorced Edward Stoner (54 - Ill/NY/NY) living with his widowed father, James Stoner (76 - NY/US/US) on West Pleasant Street.
