(23) Kendrick with their children Elizabeth G. (7), Richard C. (4), and Garrie M. (10/12). "Garrie & "Carry" have been married for 9 years and are living just below the Pittsylvania Co. / Halifax Co., VA line. Next door are John H. (50) and Mattie (43) Kendrick with children Heblie (21), Bascom (18), Avis L. (17), Arie (16), Wilber (12), Everett (10), and Eva (6). John & Hettie report that they were both 21 years of age at their first marriage ... which is not consistent with the 7 year difference in their reported ages. Both Kendrick families are employed in General Farming.
Carrie married Gary Mallone Kendrick, son of John Hawkins Kendrick and Elizabeth (Lizzie) Amos, circa 1921 in Pittsylavania Co., VA. (Gary Mallone Kendrick was born circa 1902 in Callands, Pittsylvania Co., VA and died in 1963.) |
