RUCKER, Rita Adkins, 81, of Mechanicsville, passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, October 7, 2009. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Neville L. Rucker; daughter, Bobbye R. Terry and husband, Norman, of Lorenzo, Texas, Tracy R. Foard and husband, Scott; two grandchildren, Garreth and Rhiannon. The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 8014 Lee-Davis Rd. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1 p.m., at Shady Grove United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association.
