Clara Dessie Overcash Boettiger
Clara Dessie Boettiger, 85, formerly of High Point Towers and Fairview, died Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2004, at the Village at Luther Square.
She was born July 23, 1918, in Erie, daughter of the late Samuel M. and Edna Halter Overcash. She was a lifelong Erie resident.
She worked in the paint room of Lord Corp. for 30 years, retiring in 1971 [1976].
She attended Wesleyville High School.
She was a member of Young at Heart at St. John's Lutheran Church and the Grottoettes and was a former member of Messiah Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Boettiger, in 1971; and a brother, Samuel K. Overcash.
Survivors include two sisters, Anna E. Camp and Grace G. Nelson, all of Erie; three nieces, Barbara Miller, Sandra Nelson and Cheryl Griffis; two nephews, William and Bert K. Camp; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Friends may attend a memorial service at the Scott Funeral Home, 2104 Myrtle St., on Monday at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Daniel M. Yeiser of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Burial will be private at Laurel Hill Cemetery.

Clara married Robert W. Boettiger. (Robert W. Boettiger was born on 30 Jun 1910 in Erie Co., Pennsylvania, died in May 1976 in Erie Co., Pennsylvania and was buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Mill Creek Township, Erie Co., PA.)
