(9). They are one page over from John's parents in this census record. Walter's age is obviously an error in that he is listed in the 1870 census.

March 20, 1918 John M. Cramer The many old Putnam County friends of Mr. Cramer, a former resident of this county will be deeply grieved to learn of his passing which occured at his home at Smithville, Nebraska, March 10. A friend furnishes the following brief obituary. John M. Cramer, died at Smithville, Nebraska on March 10, 1918. He came to Illinois along with his parents when about 7 years of age. Resided in Putnam County until 1884 when he moved to Nebraska where he has since resided. He leaves a wife, one son and two daughters to mourn his loss. He had many friends where he had lived so long and was called a good man by those who knew him in his daily intercourse in business and in church affairs.
John married Mary Jane Keho circa 1868 in Putnam Co., Illinois. (Mary Jane Keho was born circa 1852 in Illinois and died after 1910 in Harrison Township, Gosper Co., Nebraska.)
