Clarence and Nellie were married 14 November 1917 in Smithfield. Their first home was where Reuben Stehl lives. They lived in a sod house at first, but the new house was built the first yar. In 1935 they moved to the farm now owned by Monte Wendell and lived their until retiring and moving to Bertrand in 1974.
