Her father sold the farm in the early 1900's and moved the family to Salem to open The Woods Hardware Co. She attended Roanoke Women's College [later Elizabeth College] and graduated in 1912 with First Distinction. She was a charter member of the Poe Literary Society and in 1918, became President of the Elizabeth College Alumnae Association. Beatrice was originally a patient of Dr. William Clyde Jones, her dentist, and consented to become his wife in 1921. They purchased a home on High Street before 1924 and lived there across from Roanoke College for many years. They had 3 children, all girls, Aminee, Beatrice and Charlotte. Raised a Lutheran, she later joined the First United Methodist Church in Salem. She was an enthusiastic bridge player, compassionate and charitable and a good cook. She passed away after an operation for a brain tumor.

(46 - VA/VA/VA) and Leslie (35 - VA/VA/VA) Woods and siblings Aminse (14 - VA/VA/VA), Harry (10 - VA/VA/VA), and Lynn (7 - VA/VA/VA) on Chestnut Street. Joseph is a hardware merchant and has been married to Leslie for 15 years. Leslie has had 4 children all of whom are still living.

(Dec 1874 - VA/VA/VA) Woods and siblings Amine (Oct 1895 - VA/VA/VA), and William H. (Aug 1899 - VA/VA/VA). Joseph is a farmer and has been married to Mary Leslie for 5 years. Leslie has had 3 children all of whom are still living. Also in the household is Texas Scott (Oct 1877) as a servant.
