bullet  Research Notes:

In an email from Fred Taylor on Feb 13, 2009 regarding Cathy's daughter, Adrienne, given up for adoption:
... the Warren line is the adopted family line. To give you the basic background, my wife's birth mother (Cathy Lynn Miles) got pregnant at age 21, didn't have much of a job at the time, and for her it was simply bad timing. She was young, not married, and the father up to the present time is still unknown. Cathy never told anyone who it was, and we believe, it may have been a married man that she was trying to protect. Nevertheless, Cathy decided to give Adrienne up for adoption, and it was done privately through the help of a local church and minister.

Fast forward a little, Adrienne grew up knowing she was adopted, but never knew the background of her birth family. Soon after she turned 16, she wanted to know more, and since it was sort of a word of word type of situation, her adopted mom helped her to backtrack with the people originally involved. Unfortunately, that took some time to piece together everything, but in the spring of 2001 they were able to get in touch with Carroll. The sad twist of fate was that her mom, Cathy, had passed away just several months before (February 2001) due to a medical complication with a prescription she was taking. So, that's why she never got to meet her. But from that, Adrienne began a warm relationship with her Miles family that has continued ever since. And, since I know you like the genealogy/family history aspect, what's really amazing is looking at pictures of Adrienne beside a picture of Cathy is like seeing a mirror image. They're almost identical.
