Jun 18, 2006 ... Bernard F. Bonner, 86, of 3952 Columbia Ave., died Friday [June 16, 2006] evening at St. Anne's Retirement Community where he had resided for the past four years. He was the husband of Romaine Kirchner Bonner and the late Mildred McMahon Bonner, who preceded him in death in 1996. Born in Nesquehoning, Carbon County he was the son of the late Philip and Catherine Binder Bonner. Bernie retired in 1983 after 37 years of service from the Home Unity Savings and Loan Bank in Philadelphia where he was secretary treasurer. He also served in the U.S Army during WWII.
